I really enjoyed how fresh Go Go Bird was for a food hall. It is my favorite restaurant here, great casual lunch spot. The service is quick too. I love how crispy and airy the chicken tenders are, it reminds me of fish and chips/tempura! With the dipping sauce too, it's amazing. The pickles are also refreshing.

Inside Culver City's Citizen's Public Market you have a selection of a handful of restaurants. Go Go Bird is one of them and they should be added to places to try when at the market. Go Go Bird pays homage to the classic Los Angeles fried chicken but with a twist of Asian flavors. Chef Brandon Kida comes from a culinary background and you can really taste the love and passion he puts into his food (Go Go Bird). The menu is very simple. Your choice of fried chicken (tenders, wings, or a sandwich), and a selection of sides and sauces you can choose from. The chicken is fried to order which gives you the best tasting fried chicken (there is no chicken sitting under heat lamps). The sides he offers are great too. You have a selection of fries which are cooked to perfection. There is one with Japanese poutine which is a curry with cheese on top of the fries. It's a must order with the fried chicken. You also have to order the Japanese cheddar biscuits. I would say they are the best biscuits I've ever had. The service is excellent and the ambience is a beautiful market with lots of seating inside or out.

Nestled in LA's bustling Citizens Public Market, GoGo Bird Chicken is a crispy delight! The burger's crunchy exterior gives way to juicy, flavorful chicken, all hugged by a perfectly toasted brioche bun. The homemade fries were a satisfying sidekick, and the tangy pickle side added a zesty twist. Whether you're a foodie or just craving a great chicken burger, this spot's got you clunkin!

All in all this place is great! Service was quick and our food was delicious. Everything was well spiced and the condiments for the chicken tenders were great. I should mention that the chicken tenders are also fairly sizable. Lastly, Citizens Public Market has a nice patio in the back and on the roof where you can enjoy your meal as well. Seen here: pork gyoza and spicy chicken tenders

Delicious !! The crispy spiced fry on the chicken was so yummy but not to die for like Korean fried chicken hence knocking off one star. However this was the most unique and such a fun elevated fried chicken. I would get the bone in wings fried chicken again for sheer taste & crunch. However there was definitely less meat on these pieces when compared to the boneless fried white meat thicc chicken. I personally wouldn't get the Sichuan fries again. The spice was yummy but the total dish lacked cohesive ness and at the end of the day it was just spiced fries.

So absolutely yum! I had Go Go Bird for lunch yesterday and it was so worth the wait. What I mean is, Yelp has them opening at 12pm on Saturdays...it's actually 12:15pm. I can wait 15 mins for chicken, lolz. After ordering, it only took about 15 minutes for our order to be ready of hot & fresh nomz. We beasted on: -The Tenders, came in an order of 3 and they are incredibly tasty. So juicy and plump with the most tasty, crispy crust I've had in a while on fried chicken. Wow, blown away. -The Wings, same as above all applies with a tad more spice. Both this and the tenders came with some fries and their dipping sauces: spicy honey, Japanese ranch & spicy togarashi aioli which made dunking fun. -Japanese Cheddar Biscuit ($8 for 2) was vegetarian and had some of the best flavor to it I've had in a biscuit in a minute. Mind you, it had honey miso butter and condensed milk drizzled on top to assist in the deliciousness. But all the same, this ish was real good. -Baked Mac n' Cheese ($8) - solid but my least favorite of the lot of it all. This was way too much, so if I had to sacrifice getting something we did, it would definitely be this. -Mister Miyagi ($5) - even this matcha green tea and yuzu lemonade was really tasty here. Overall, absolutely loved the eats from Go Go Bird and the overall vibe of the Citizen Public Market food hall. Sit out front on the sidewalk if you want to take in the outside with some people watching. Sit on the rooftop if you want to take in the outside, but focus on who you're with. :)

Finally checked them out via Uber eats . I ordered the wings the Szechuan spiced fries and the three dipping sauces . Everything was really good. If I had to choose one of the sauces to save money on a future order instead of getting the three sauce combo , I would recommend ordering just the spiced honey unless you are a ranch person and really need it as a side . The Szechuan spice fries were the best I've ever had. Most of my past experiences having five spice fries, they have been very cumin heavy. The spice blend that was used on these fries was very balanced and tasty. Spice level was decent. I think that for me it was more on the mild side, but I like things to be spicier than most people can handle so keep that in mind. In summary I highly recommend checking this place out . I would definitely order them again .

The fried chicken was very good, owing to their unique spices in the batter and th very moist fist. The place was very busy on a Saturday at Citizen Public Market in Culver City. I think they are usually quite busy on weekends anyway, bit they were also preparing a large catering order. We order the chicken tenders and a separate order of Japanese biscuits (very unique), both were very good, but the chicken was bit greasy even for fried food. Not a complaint exactly, just an observation; we ate EVERYTHING! Like everything else at the Market you order at the register, then pick up your food and eat at the counter / table. I like the overall vibe of the Citizen Public Market so the centralized eating areas are part of the experience. The only downside, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is their prices. Go Bird is delicious, but it's hard to justify $30 for 3 chicken strips and 3 biscuits.
